The closure of a Seam jira issue is used to identify issues that are complete and need no further interaction.
The procedure for closing a jira issue in Seam is:
- Committer closes the issue when changes are committed if confident the issue is fixed, tested locally, or obviously complete.
- Committer or Submitter closes the issue when rejecting the issue, includes
Rejected
, Won't Fix
, Out of Date
, etc...
- Committer requests Seam QA test the issue by assigning it to QA with any needed instructions.
- QA closes the issue when verified by release testing, or other procedures.
- Committer/QA requests that the submitter of the issue test the changes. This is required if verification requires a specialized environment or requires a configuration specific to the submitter. Any issues left in a resolved state will be closed if a request to verify by submitter is not acted on for 2 months.
